Prof. Ramana specialises in a wide range of surgical procedures, including minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery and robotic surgery. He has 30 years of experience and has performed countless successful surgeries at high levels of complexity. He is happiest finding solutions for surgical patients, who are otherwise struggling for help. He is proud to be the founder of the 6000 member-strong Abdominal Wall Reconstruction Surgeons Community and to have taught modern hernia surgery to thousands of surgeons in India and other countries.
He does a wide variety of cases of all levels of complexity and choses the format best suited to the given patient: open, laparoscopic or robotic. Each patient is special and has individual needs and expectations. As a surgeon, Ramana involves the patient in the decision making process and sets the expectations for them.
